Popular Strip Clubs and Topless Bars in Gold Coast
The two biggest strip clubs in Gold Coast sit just meters apart on Orchid Avenue: Hollywood Showgirls and Players.
Both venues are well-known for their glamorous interiors and stunning dancers (some of whom will be moonlighting outside trying to drag you inside!).
Most of the large buck parties head to one of these two venues, but there’s also Toybox just south on Surfers Paradise Blvd — more of a throwback-style titty bar.

This is one of the most famous adult entertainment venues in all of Australia. Step inside the Hollywood Showgirls and take in the moves of a club that has more ‘Penthouse Pets’ than any other strip club in the entire Southern Hemisphere.
It’s an impressive venue that attracts some of the best dancers in Australia as well as international strippers (including a lot of Russians!). Spread over two storeys, the main lounge area has a full height waterfall, designer leather seating and a large velvet curtain framed stage.
VIPs can take advantage of the top floor to get a bird’s eye view of the main hall or even upgrade to the privacy of the Million Dollar Lap Room. A classy and exquisitely decorated space, this recently refurbished lounge is available for hire with your own selection of private dancers.
Every night at 2:55am, there is a Mega Show on the main stage in which up to 40 girls compete for attention, all at once. It has become an iconic event that the Gold Coast is famous for.
In addition, there are a number of special events to look out for:
- Mischievous Mondays — A stream of continuous shows from 9pm to 5am, including the midnight fashion parade and Mega Show
- Tiny Tuesdays — Only tiny clothes allowed. Thongs, bikinis, mini skirts and the tiniest of dresses. There’s also a midnight lingerie show.
- Fantasy Costume Wednesdays — If you like uniforms or the idea of a little ‘dress up’, followed by ‘dress down’, Wednesday night’s show should be on your bucket list.
- Tantalizing Thursdays – Double Trouble shows at 11.00pm and 1.30am plus Midnight Fashion Parade.
- Foxy Fridays – Hollywood themed shows and the usual Midnight Fashion Parade, Double Trouble shows and Mega Show.
- Sassy Saturdays – Same as Foxy Fridays, without the theme.
- Saucy Sundays — Another night of dress up, including a Midnight Fashion Parade which we’re guessing is somewhat different to the kind you see in coffee table magazines.

Players is a rare family-owned and operated strip bar that has become somewhat of a legend in Surfers Paradise. The club has been in business for over 25 years and remains popular with both locals and the constant influx of Goldie tourists.
It’s slightly cheaper than Hollywood, and not afraid to shout about it.
If you’ve ever walked past the entrance in the late hours, you’ll have witnessed the overwhelming foot marketing effort to wheel in the punters. By that, we mean… there’s no shortage of eye candy ready to whisk you away inside. A bit tawdry for the locals, yep, but it works a charm on the out-of-town crowd.
Once inside, the venue has a nicely-stocked bar and plenty of booths to enjoy the action, whilst you can watch a steady stream of live adult shows, including: pole dancing, strip teases and themed events.
Looking for something a little more personal? Grab a slow and erotic lap dance from one of the many talented ladies working in this bar. They might be a bit pushy outside, but they know how to work it once they’ve got you where they want you.

Toybox is a boutique gentlemen’s club in Surfers Paradise where you can get a full range of strip shows, lap dances and late night entertainment. It isn’t quite as glam as Players or Hollywood, but you’re not going to get hustled through the door either.
We like the old-school strip-house vibes.
The venue has two floors including the main showroom upstairs where you will find a steady slew of pole dancing and strip shows. Downstairs there are some private VIP booths where you can enjoy a lap dance and some privacy with their ladies.
The club offers a free limo pick-up service (enquire for details) which means you can ‘arrive like a boss’ on your big night out. Call ahead or book online and you also get free entry when your limo arrives at the club.
A smaller strip bar compared to some of the other clubs in town, it is known for its friendly staff and relaxed atmosphere.

This club is located further south in Tweed Heads.
It claims to be Australia’s “only gentlemen’s club with a whole adult entertainment experience under one roof“. What does that mean in practice?
It means they’ve got a brothel upstairs. 😝
Manhattan Club shares its premises with the highly rated Le Penthouse Suite, which is one of the top-rated brothels in the Gold Coast area.
While this arrangement is certainly convenient, it’s not that unusual. Many of the smaller strip bars around Queensland, Victoria and NSW have bordello facilities in close proximity. And in most cases, they’re run by the same management. You don’t need us to explain to you the crossover marketing appeal…
As a strip bar, Manhattan Club has low-key vibes compared to Players or Hollywood. The venue has been scaled back significantly since it first launched in 1998.
Still, you can watch some excellent themed shows, get a fully nude lap dance, or enjoy one of their flagship ‘wet and wild’ spa extravaganzas. Drinks are on a BYO basis.
