Melbourne has a reputation for an open mind when it comes to sex, and nowhere does this shine through better than in its swinging community.
We’ve got private clubs, secret societies, gangbang parties and a steady drumbeat of swinger events held throughout the month. The community is friendly and welcoming… once you know where to find it.
Our Melbourne Swingers Guide runs through everything you need to know about tapping up The Lifestyle in Melbs. The list below has a packed schedule of weekly events to sink your teeth into — so don’t be afraid to get involved! 🔥🍍
Are There Any Good Swinger Clubs In Melbourne?
The short answer: YES.
Melbourne’s swinging community is tight-knit and well-established with various venues, monthly meet-ups and private groups catering to all aspects of The Lifestyle.
The city is known for its numerous adult attractions, and swinging is well covered.
Whether you are a first-timer, or a couple with decades of adventures, we’re pretty sure you’ll find somewhere suitable below:
Shed 16
2/16 Cumberland Dr, Seaford VIC 3198, Australia
With a fully licensed bar, outdoor spa, private rooms and play areas, Shed 16 is one of the most famous venues for swingers in Melbourne. The club features specialist areas including the ‘suckatorium’, heavy duty and sling rooms as well as porn lounges.
This is unashamedly a sex club, located around 35km south of Melbourne in an industrial part of Seaford.
Check their schedule for an updated list of events. The weekend is the best time for swinging with their Shared Secret Couples Night on Friday and a Club Erotique Mixed Night on Saturday. These typically cost $50-$60 for couples. Single women can get in for $20. Single guys are either not allowed, or extremely limited (if you do get in, you’ll likely pay upwards of $150 for the privilege).
The venue feels like a hedonistic warehouse, and it’s regularly manned by security on the front door.
Downstairs you will find a dancefloor, live music, locker rooms, steam rooms, a spa and two saunas. Upstairs is a labyrinth-style maze of private rooms, booths and stalls. There must be over 30 of them in total. Some have beds, others have full-length mirrors, a few are kitted out with sex swings, BDSM restraints and other kinky play tools.
Depending on what time you visit, many of these private rooms will be occupied by randy couples or revellers getting their frisk on. Expect dressing-down to be default here.
Between Friends
16 Dianella Ln, Balaclava, VIC, 3183
https://www.betweenfriends.com.au
This is a fairly new venue combining a classy wine bar experience downstairs, with a sensual and erotic playground upstairs. It’s been getting some rave reviews and is particularly popular with urban couples, in their 30s and 40s, looking to ease in gently to the lifestyle.
Between Friends holds themed events throughout the year. Friday and Saturday are the busiest nights for swingers, with the action kicking off from 8:00pm until late. Couples entry starts at $70, or $25 for single women. No single guys allowed.
The bar downstairs is perfect for a few drinks, nibbles and ice-breaking chit-chat with other couples. There’s an outdoor terrace, too, as well as plenty of lockers and restrooms at the rear. We know some couples won’t even venture upstairs, but that’s where the action happens with condoms, towels and lubricants all provided.
Most couples will dress to impress in the bar area, and then undress for the good times as they head to the top floor. It’s here that you’ll find two open play rooms, as well as some smaller private rooms (including themed areas with a massage table and a sex swing).
If you’re looking for a swingers venue with a sophisticated vibe, the Between Friends Wine Bar should be high on your bucket list.
Virtue & Vice
https://www.virtueandvice.com.au
This female-operated Melbourne group is looking to bring a touch of class to the poly/swingers scene. Events are typically held at the Melbourne Pavilion in Kensington, but we’ve also seen an upcoming event at The Third Day in North Melbourne.
The Pavilion events pull a large crowd of revellers. Erotic attire is mandatory, with costumes, body painting, bondage wear, lingerie, leather, or lace being common choices. Don’t be surprised if some guests are fully nude before the end of the night!
From Shibari artists to aerial performances, DJs, and BDSM displays, this event caters to lovers of all kinds—voyeurs, exhibitionists, kinksters, and fetishists alike.
It’s a progressive club, fully welcoming of the LGBTQ+ community. Tickets are not cheap, with couples paying anywhere from $100 to $130. Single women can get in for $70. We’re told they accept a very limited number of single guys, but presumably on a private invitation only basis.
The Saints and Sinners Ball
https://www.saintsandsinnersball.com.au
The Saints and Sinners Balls is a big deal in the Victoria swinging community. It’s held four times throughout the year: Spring Ball, Autumn Ball, Winter Ball and the grand New Year’s Eve Ball Finale. This event has been running for 34 years and is seen as a major gathering.
In fact, these dress-up events attract couples from far beyond the state. And it’s not just swingers attending the parties — the dance floor turns in to a vibrant mix of exhibitionists, voyeurs and just about anybody looking to dip their toes in The Lifestyle.
Each event has a theme, with the next one being Naughty Neon Nineties (“glow-in-the-dark everything outrageous outfits, and your favourite 90s hits blasting through the speakers“). It’s typically held at the Inflation night club, inside the CBD, but the location does vary.
Expect a sex-positive crowd of around 400-500 guests. While you’ll certainly find some couples getting frisky on the premises, this is more like a giant party for swingers than an actual orgy.
A wild ‘no-holds-barred’ night out for all.
PURR at Chasers
PURR brings a sexy, high-energy twist to Melbourne’s swinging scene with its provocative, costume-driven parties.
It’s like one big dance party for exhibitionists. Attendees are encouraged to let loose in a hedonistic playground where sexy costumes and skimpy outfits are the norm. While there’s an on-premise play area for those who want to take things further, the main space is designed for dancing, socializing, and blowing off some steam.
Most PURR events take place at Chasers Nightclub in South Yarra, a well-known spot in Melbourne’s nightlife. Depending on availability, events may also be held at other licensed venues across the city, all booked privately for PURR’s exclusive crowd.
These parties are open to couples and single women only. There might be some exceptions, but we rarely see events listed with single guys allowed. To join, you will need to apply via the PURR “Kitty Kat Club,” a process that includes vetting via the website and photo approval.
The Play Pen
The Play Pen offers private tailored gangbang parties for women who want to live out their fantasies of enjoying multiple men at once. As you’d expect, these parties are highly bespoke and the lucky girl gets to lay down her exact entry requirements as she sees fit — right down to the age, height and cock-size of attendees.
Upcoming gangbangs are posted on the website.
They take place at private residences and hotels all over Melbourne.
Swingers Couples Club
https://swingerscouplesclub.com.au
An old-fashioned swingers club, this group has small events in a luxurious serviced-apartment in the suburbs of West Melbourne. It appears to be a group for older couples only with guests asked to confirm that at least one partner is over 45 on the booking form.
Typical entry costs $70 for couples or $20 for single ladies.
Wet on Wellington
162 Wellington St, Collingwood, VIC, 3066
https://wetonwellington.com.au
Wet on Wellington is best-known as one of Melbourne’s premier gay venues, with its large pool, spa, dry sauna and steam room pulling in the punters. It’s equipped with a Suckatorium, Sling rooms, a porn lounge and a huge open play area. This place is massive.
While it’s a gay sauna by day and night, it transforms in to a gigantic swingers party on the third Monday of each month. Upstairs has a huge number of private rooms and stalls, as well as gloryhole cabins and extra open showers.
The Swingers Pool Party (8:00pm to 2:00am) is the event that will appeal most to Lifestylers.
Couples typically get in for around $90. A small number of single women and men are also accepted ($40). If you’re a guy, it is NOT a cheap night out. Expect to pay an eyewatering $350 for entry… all while wearing a green wristband to mark your single status. 😎🟢
The Monkey Club
Spread over two floors and incorporating several large open play areas, The Monkey Club is a decadent venue styled like a five-star hotel.
There are plenty of king and queen size beds as well as a circular ‘Austin Powers’ style bed.
The venue has a screening process for members and applicants must provide genuine photographs that have not been photoshopped and are up to date. Members are asked to arrive in casual attire but are reminded that after 11pm the dresscode is to strip down to lingerie/boxers or full nudity.
A BYOB establishment soft drinks, mixers and nibbles are provided. Running two events each month – one for couples and single ladies only – The Monkey Club prides itself on running quality events with attractive and fit members.
Member-Only Swinging Groups in Victoria
Stilettos
https://www.stilettosparties.com.au
Established in 2005, Stilettos runs three types of party; couples and single females only, Kink meets Swing and Players Parties. Attracting an average age range of 30, the dress code is “erotic”. Lube and condoms are free of charge and the venue has spacious play rooms and a lounge area with TV/DVD and a massage table.
Inner Circle
https://melbourneinnercircle.com
The criteria for invitation to these sophisticated events is being young, attractive and fit.
Member screening is rigorous and is in keeping with the organisers approach to providing a stylish and modern atmosphere that is more than just a group orgy or your typical Melbourne sex party.
They want their club to be an erotic cocktail party which brings likeminded people together. With a monthly meet-up at various locations across Victoria, Inner Circle is more of a social mixer than a guaranteed gangbang. Good for making Lifestyle connections.
Popular Melbourne Swinging Sites
You don’t need to be a member of an exclusive club to enjoy Melbourne’s swinging scene. Instead, you can browse the hundreds of listings from local swingers on various apps and websites.
These communities are the best way to stay in touch with fellow couples and lifestyle enthusiasts who aren’t easy to find on Facebook. Beyond swinging, they’re a pretty safe bet for anybody looking to get laid in Melbourne.
Red Hot Pie
This site is catnip for swingers.
Red Hot Pie offers a whole section dedicated to the swinging lifestyle in and around Melbourne providing useful guides to etiquette, parties, clubs and even bukkake meetups.
They also feature a huge classifieds sections so that you can make contact with other likeminded individuals. Free to join but with premium services being paid for the site is a very useful go-to for all things swinging in Melbourne.
Adult MatchMaker
https://www.adultmatchmaker.com.au
One of Australia’s premier swinging websites, Adult MatchMaker has hundreds of registered couples in the Melbourne and Victoria area. Here you’ll find everything from cuckolding, to group sex parties, to wifeswapping, with plenty of orgies and gangbangs inbetween.
One of the largest swingers databases in all of Australia.
SDC
There’s no doubt, Red Hot Pie and Adult MatchMaker are the most popular swinger apps in the Melbourne market. SDC is still a useful community though. It has a global reach that will appeal to any Victoria Lifestylers who like to party overseas.
For the best local results, you can search by individual Victoria towns. We were surprised how even some of the smaller suburbs returned a decent number of results.
Adult FriendFinder
It’s just like Adult MatchMaker, but bigger and covering the entire world — not just Australia and New Zealand. AFF is the original best friend of swingers all over the world, second only perhaps to Craigslist (or more recently, Locanto).
AFF has profiles for hundreds of Melbourne swingers. Just remember that the appeal of this app spreads far beyond the swinging community. It’s used by singles, sex workers, horny strangers and a truly mixed bag of weirdos and scam artists.
Premium membership is required. YMMV.
Swingers Heaven
https://www.swingersheaven.com.au
It has around 300,000 members across Australia. As you’d expect by the name, it’s almost exclusively used by swingers.
Swingers Heaven has some interesting bonus features, including erotic stories, adult chatrooms and live videos. But if we’re judging it strictly by access to Melb’s swinging circles, it falls short of the action offered by Red Hot Pie and AMM.
Fab Swingers
https://www.fabswingers.com/browse/country/Australia/Victoria
Fab Swingers currently has 582 profiles listed as swingers in Victoria. The directory is ordered by time of last login, and with no discernible profile pictures, it makes for pretty dry browsing.
This site acts more as a swingers classified site. You can post an advert 100% free, and you’ll probably get a few responses, but it’s a far cry from the trusted communities available elsewhere.
